Support the team on social media and win prizes!

We've got two great chances for you to help the team on social media and win prizes this season.

The first is our Kickoff Challenge, where anything you post to Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter and share with our social media accounts (@chambleeTD on Instagram, @chambleeTD on Twitter, and ChambleeNation on Facebook) between now and August 17th makes you eligible for a $50 credit in our online Spiritwear Store. Get your photo with your player after tonight's scrimmage, post pics from Family Picture Day, or anything else to do with Chamblee Football, to participate.

The second is our Road Warriors Challenge, where the Touchdown Club is giving a commemorative T-shirt to any fan who follows the team to our four big early-season road battles, at Central Forsyth, Lowndes County, Pickens County, and Coffee County. To enter this contest, share a selfie from each stadium on the night of the game on Twitter or Instagram with the @ChambleeTD account.

We hope to have T-shirts to winners by Homecoming October 12th.

Thanks for supporting Chamblee Football!

Scrimmaging tonight against Washington

As we did last year, we're doing our Fall Scrimmage against the Booker T. Washington High Bulldogs, and it's tonight at 7!

The scrimmage is on their school practice field, so bring your folding chairs. Spectators set up on a shaded hillside for last year's scrimmage. Washington is near the Atlanta University complex, at 45 Whitehouse Drive SW in Atlanta.

Let's get back to work

Summer practice kicks off June 4th at 6:45 a.m. in the Teddy Carter Gym at Chamblee. Practices are scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, which is a slight change from what was originally announced, and the current plan is to follow that schedule pretty much until the start of the school year, except for GHSA Dead Week the week of July 4th and the days immediately before school. There are also two contact camps currently scheduled which will add a couple of Wednesdays to the mix. As always, TeamSnap is the ultimate authority.

Chamblee takes spring scrimmage 29-27 over Druid Hills

Chamblee's spring season finished successfully with a 29-27 win over Druid Hills at North DeKalb Stadium.

It was the first home spring game for Chamblee in at least four years, and the fans turned out to watch a close one. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 16-0 lead early, on two touchdowns by Renaldo Whitman and a safety by the Dog D, but Druid Hills roared back in the third quarter and took a 21-16 lead. Donovan Moncrief's long TD run put Chamblee back on top, and a 37-yard TD pass from Stuart Steele to Sydney Murray stretched the lead to 29-21.

With just 2:00 to play, Druid Hills drove for a touchdown, and set up for a 2-pt conversion to potentially tie the game. Sherman Allen, Darius Williams, and Ja'cari Waller-Watkins got great penetration to stop the Red Devil running back just short of the end zone.

Allen, one of the Chamblee captains, also forced two fumbles on the day.

Come out for the Spring Scrimmage May 18th!

We'll be kicking off the 2018 season with our first home scrimmage in years. Chamblee faces Druid Hills at North DeKalb Stadium Friday, May 18th at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $5, available for presale from our players or at the stadium starting around 5 on Friday. We'll have concessions, too, so bring an appetite!

The two teams met last in the 2017 season opener, where Chamblee won the first game played on the new turf at North DeKalb 27-19 in a nailbiter, with Jonathan Rhone sealing the win with a forced fumble and recovery with Druid Hills driving at the Chamblee 2-yard line.

Bulldogs celebrate Roddy Jones

Chamblee and Georgia Tech great Roddy Jones was on hand Friday night to celebrate his legacy as DeKalb County's all-time rushing leader (5,055 yds!) and scorer (76 TDs), and to inaugurate a new award in his name recognizing the outstanding student athlete on the Chamblee varsity squad each year.

Chamblee came away with a loss on the night, 40-7 to Decatur, dropping the home team to 1-1 on the season. Photos from the game and ceremony are up on Flickr here.

Bulldogs inaugurate N. DeKalb with a win

Chamblee brought home a win in a wild "away" game against Druid Hills August 18th.

Chamblee prevailed 27-19 thanks in part to a last-minute fumble recovery by Jonathan Rhone with Druid Hills driving at the Chamblee 2-yd line. Chamblee's student section was out in force, and there's no way Druid Hills, a co-tenant at North DeKalb, was feeling like the home team.

Dogs of the Week were Rhone and Levinte Washington for the defense, and junior center Juan Lopez.

Dogs for Life and Family Day wrapup

Thanks to everyone who came out and made our first Dogs for Life 7-on-7 tournament a big success! We had players ranging from the class of 1986 through the class of 2013 show their stuff, and Barcus Boyz BBQ fed the masses. They'll be on hand for Friday night tailgating all season on Pierce Dr., across from the gym.

The oldest playing alum, Jamie Bailey, was named Dog of the Day after a spectacular if controversial 12-point touchdown in the game's final minutes.

Here's a photo gallery from the event.

We're all looking forward to next year's 2nd Annual Dogs for Life!

Pre-registration is open for Dogs For Life 2017
